The Subramaniam Foundation is a charitable organisation founded by Dr. L. Subramaniam and Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam in 2005, with the aim of promoting music, dance and other performing arts. Based in Bangalore, India, the Foundation deals primarily with promotion of the performing arts both in India and abroad.
The Subramaniam Foundation, after its inception, took over organisation and promotion of the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival, one of the largest global music festivals in the worlds, having presented performances in over 18 countries and 46 cities.
The Foundation also administers the Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts, an academy founded to identify, nurture and mentor those who want to pursue a career in the various performing arts, or those who want to pursue an art form for the sake of personal joy and satisfaction.
In addition, the Foundation also issues scholarships to deserving students of music and pensions to elderly musicians. Donations made to the foundation are tax exempt under Section 80G.
